Obama Authorizes Another 1,500 to Iraq

WASHINGTON (AP) — Three days after the Democrats surrendered the Senate and many seats in the House, President Obama authorized 1,500 troops to go over to Iraq to help in the fight against the Islamic State. While deploying even more troops back into the war he supposedly ended, the President is also asking Congress for over $5 billion to help aid Kurdish forces combat the radical movement.

The White House was clear in saying that our troops will not be going into combat, but instead train and assist Iraqi/Kurdish forces.
